Tahqua Trail Run – Upper Falls
August 10, 2024
This popular 25K race follows the North Country Trail along the Tahquamenon River, beginning near the Rivermouth and ending at the Upper Falls. A 10K race will also take place, starting at the Lower Falls and ending at the Upper Falls. These races are sponsored by Great Lakes Endurance.

Wild Blueberry Festival
August 16-18, 2024
Each year during the third weekend in August, friends and families of Paradise, Michigan celebrate a part of the local heritage, wild blueberries. An arts and craft fair, strolling entertainment, stage entertainment, and an abundance of wild blueberry delicacies are just part of the festivities.

Tahquamenon Wilderness Canoe Race
September 14, 2024
This 17 mile, two-person professional canoe race challenges the paddlers to brave the waters of the Tahquamenon River from the Lower Falls to Lake Superior. A shorter one-person race and fun run for amateur paddlers are also offered.
This event is sponsored by the Paradise Area Chamber of Commerce and the Michigan Canoe Racing Association

The Haunted Trail
October 11-12, 2024
Kick off your family Halloween event right! Hike the Haunted Trail as ghouls, goblins, and gremlins, dance among the pumpkins, pines, and pitchforks. Held at Sawmill Creek Township Park just north of Paradise on Whitefish Point Road. The trail is open from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. Admission is $10. The hike is not recommended for children 10 and under.
